The 10 Best Luxury Hotels in Turkey
Helicopter transfer? Sure. Choice of pillows for adults and children? No problem. Tennis with the Wimbledon champion? Included in the cost of living. All of this can be experienced in Turkey by staying in one of our top 10 luxury hotels. Turkey has long been battling Spain for the title of the most budget-friendly holiday destination. But budget options are just a drop in the vast ocean of opportunities to have a great rest. This is especially true for luxury hotels, which are improved every year. In Turkey you can really find everything from luxury hotel complexes on the coast to urban apartments in Istanbul.
Here is what we chose for you:
Ciragan Palace Kempinski
This hotel, like the capital of Turkey, is a mixture of tradition and modernity. Most of the 313 rooms are housed in a new-fashioned building, but those looking for a chic holiday can rent one of the 11 rooms in a renovated nineteenth-century palace. It has a separate entrance, conveniently located near the helipad, and a butler is assigned to each room. Guests can also arrive here by limousine and even a yacht – the Ciragan Palace Kempinski hotel is located on the shores of the Bosphorus, and 80% of the rooms overlook the river. At Le Fumoir, hidden in the shade of lush palm trees, you can enjoy cocktails, champagne, cognac and a cigar. By the way, many celebrities have stayed at this hotel: Madonna, Oprah, Bill Clinton and Sting.
Maxx royal kemer
If we talk about all-inclusive rest, then most often the elite guests are dissatisfied with the buffet. That is why, opening its second hotel in Antalya, the Maxx Royal chain decided to introduce an à la carte menu in its restaurants for everything except breakfast. So all dishes, from sushi to juicy steaks, are now included in the price. Restaurants are not the only place where Maxx Royal Kemer exceeds expectations. The rooms are really huge – the smallest of them is 100 square meters. Children were also taken care of in this hotel – there are clubs for different ages, a fair, a water park and cinemas where you can watch films in different languages. For concerts and entertainment programs, celebrities are often invited here, for example, the LMFAO group or Elijah Wood.
Dionysos Estate
The Dionysos Estate is located on an incredible canyon overlooking the Kulumbyuk Bay. This area on the Bozburun Peninsula is reliably hidden from the city noise, although it is closer to Marmaris than it seems because of the atmosphere of reigning peace. All forty-three dwellings on this estate, whether they are rooms, cottages or villas with a private pool, have their own terrace. Water sports can be enjoyed at the beach club, or relax in the outdoor jacuzzi at Decleor SPA. All three of the hotel’s restaurants order food from the organic farm, which also organizes picnic lunches.
Gloria Serenity Resort
Belek is known as the best golf destination in Turkey, while Gloria Golf Club is known as the largest 45-hole golf course and the largest golf academy offering individual, group and junior training programs. Gloria Serenity Resort is the most luxurious hotel in the chain. There are 369 rooms here, and the area of even the simplest of them is not less than 39 square meters. The suites also have a jacuzzi on the terrace. For those who are not particularly interested in golf, there is a huge SPA with traditional Turkish and Oriental treatments, as well as extensive opportunities for outdoor activities: you can climb on a climbing wall, play beach volleyball, football or tennis, dance zumba, and also play bowling …
Alavya
The narrow-cobbled streets of the Aegean town of Alacati attract fashionable guests with their content – here you can find galleries, slow food restaurants, as well as beach clubs. The Alavya Boutique Hotel blends in perfectly with its surroundings, with twenty-five rooms scattered across six historic stone buildings. Some overlook a large courtyard, and some overlook small courtyards lined with olive and white mulberry trees. By the way, all rooms are furnished with works of contemporary Turkish artists. Guests can relax with music from the establishment’s DJ at the restaurant and bar, while yoga and Pilates can be practiced at the gym. The cherry on top is a private yacht that can be rented here for day cruises and overnight stays.
Witt Hotel Istanbul
This designer boutique hotel is located in an area of Istanbul that suits lovers of Turkish modernity rather than history. The interior was handled by the fashion house of design Autoban: all eighteen loft rooms feature leather, plywood and black tiles. Unsurprisingly, Witt is a member of the prestigious Design Hotels chain. Breakfast is served here every morning at a buffet – you can eat in the lobby, or you can order treats to your room at no extra charge. As for lunch and dinner, guests should look for other options – although finding a good restaurant is not at all a problem in the bohemian Chikhangir quarter, which is often compared to New York’s Meatpacking. By the way, the charming roof garden of the hotel offers a good view of the Bosphorus.
D-Hotel Maris
This luxury hotel with 193 rooms is located on the picturesque hills of the Datca Peninsula. They do everything possible for the best rest – a private helicopter, sailing and motor yacht sailing are available to guests, as well as a tennis school headed by no less than Wimbledon star Goran Ivanishevich. The hotel has five beaches where you can go surfing, wakeboarding and diving. At the hotel you can sign up for Bodyism, a workout and healthy eating program popular with many celebrities. So, staying at D-Hotel Maris is a good chance to train and eat like a Hollywood star. By the way, the brunch here serves dishes from the prestigious Japanese restaurant Zuma.
Museum Hotel
The only member of the Relais & Châteaux chain in Turkey is not located in Istanbul or even on its coast. This hotel is located in the central region of the country, Cappadocia, in the middle of a desert with unique mountain formations. The Museum Hotel has thirty rooms, some of them even located in the famous caves of the region. Moreover, all accommodation here is furnished with antique furniture. Fresh vegetables are sourced from an organic garden – guests can even take cooking lessons with a prestigious chef. You can enjoy a massage on a private terrace or in a valley hidden from prying eyes, or play cross golf in the rocky terrain of Cappadocia.
Kayhan 3
Actually, this is not really a hotel – but gulet cruises are an increasingly popular segment of Turkish tourism, so it’s a good idea to have such a prestigious option in stock. The Kayhan 3 is a two-masted yacht that recently became a member of the Exclusive Escapes program. It has five en-suite rooms, teak decks with comfortable couches and free Wi-Fi throughout the ship. All gulet management is handled by a team, so all that is expected of you is just to lazily wander on the yacht and, if you wish, do the proposed leisure: snorkeling, kayaking to the sea, fishing or heading to the shore for a sightseeing tour of the city. Afternoon tea and cakes are served at Kayhan 3, while three-day meals can be selected from the à la carte menu. By the way, dinner is held here under the soft light of lanterns and bright stars.
Jumeirah Bodrum Palace
Forget minimalism – the newest Jumeirah hotel surpasses all expectations of stylish interiors. All 135 suites and villas here are decorated with exquisite decor. This is not the only thing that this hotel has tried to achieve – seven public and fifty-eight private pools are available to guests, and for sea water lovers there are three salt water pools. The beach club features DJs, movies and cocktails and canapes in the evenings. Each villa is assigned a personal butler. Moreover, all guests, including children, can choose a pillow to their liking, and pleasant little things, such as shampoo and hair conditioner, are supplied by the Bulgari brand.
