Where Dreams Come True – Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru
On one of the islands of Baa Atoll, which is under the protection of UNESCO, there is a cozy and refined hotel – Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. It is famous for its delightful sandy beaches and cozy lagoons, which are home to dolphins, rays and turtles.
Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru is built in the style of a typical Maldivian village and consists of 103 bungalows and villas with thatched roofs and French windows. A road runs along the perimeter of the island, surrounded by lush tropical greenery. This is a great route for walking, cycling and jogging. The highlight of all the island villas is the picturesque and spacious attic pavilions in the courtyard.
At the award-winning SPA, you can immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Ayurveda. The exclusive programs aimed at rejuvenating and achieving harmony use medicinal herbs and flowers grown in the hotel’s garden.
The resort has four restaurants and four bars offering culinary delights of Arabic, Asian and Italian cuisine.
But Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru is more than just a hotel
Since 2006, the Four Seasons Hotel Landaa Giraavaru has been the center of a Maldivian manta ray project led by expert Guy Stevens.
Guy Stevens and his colleagues around the world are working hard to learn more about the migration and lifestyle of manta rays – and to preserve the population of animals harmless to humans, but, unfortunately, suffering from humans.
A team of the world’s leading experts on mantle rays operates on the island all year round, exploring the life of one of the world’s most breathtaking tropical fish. After 10 years of research, the project has identified over 3,300 manta rays, and experts have conducted over 25,000 observations of manta rays in the Maldives.
Guests of the hotel can join their study. Swim with manta rays in their natural habitat, help sea turtles at the Marine Discovery Center, or grow your own coral!
Under the guidance of a biologist, guests at Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru have the opportunity to plant coral and thus contribute to the conservation of these unique sites.
